Parish Choir

Known for their longstanding dedication to excellence, the Holy Family Parish Choir has been in existence for over fifty years.  Though Holy Family Parish just celebrated 144 years as a parish, the current Parish Choir was formed in the early 60’s by John Petrick.  Prior to the direction under John Petrick the choir was actually split into a men’s choir and a women’s choir.  Following Mr. Petrick, direction of the choir was taken over by Walter Lindert, a man of great talent and standards who fled from Poland during the Second World War to avoid religious persecution.  At the conclusion of Mr. Lindert’s leadership, Michael Seredick was appointed director of the group.  It was under Mr. Seredick’s direction that the choir obtained its’ reputation of excellence.  During his twenty-six years as director, Mr. Seredick produced many recordings.  Following Mr. Seredick’s tenure as director, the choir was lead under the direction of Mr. Robert McMurray until the fall of 2006. Mr. David Uschold led the choir from the fall of 2006 until June 2017. Mr. Matthew Buller was our Director of Music and Liturgy from August 2017 through August 2019. Mrs. Marie Toth became the music director in September of 2019.

The Holy Family Parish Choir is always welcoming new members.  The group rehearses on Wednesdays and Thursdays and provides music primarily for the 9:30 a.m. liturgy on Sunday and all solemnities.   Those interested should contact the parish office at 440.842.5533 ext 305.
