Catholic Schools Week is upon us! A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Csank, our school faculty, and staff for all of the amazing work and devotion that make our school community so special! A huge THANK YOU as well to Mrs. Rene Buchtel and her staff for their great work in our Pre-school and Child Care! We are so blessed to have these communities of learning and faith formation on our campus! Please keep our staff, families, and children in your prayers as we all learn and grow together.
The feast of St. Francis de Sales is today/yesterday (Jan. 24th)! He is the patron saint of my home parish (Portage Lakes). His famous writing is “The Introduction to the Devout Life” which called every person, not just priests and religious, to a life of conversion and holiness. It is a saint and a book I would highly recommend looking into!
Speaking of conversion and experiencing transformation, Damascus is an amazing Catholic group down near Columbus that offers powerful retreat weekends for all ages. I would love to have many of us attend one of their retreats – they have a few coming up this spring! You can look on their website (damascus.net) for more info.
In case you missed it, Dcn. Dale was our first interview on the podcast a few weeks ago. You can look on our parish website for a link to the podcast – Unveiling Christianity – and you can learn about his story of conversion and how he became a deacon.
