This Monday at 7pm in the Church we will continue our discussion of the book Why We’re Catholic! We will be looking at chapters 11-15 on the Church, the Papacy, and the Sacraments. These chapters go into what they are and why they matter so much! Let’s continue to learn and grow together!
On Friday, St. Ambrose is hosting a day-long conference on Mental Health and Ministry. The key idea that connects the two in Accompaniment, or, walking alongside someone else. It is well known that, unfortunately, many people today suffer internally and often silently. Addictions, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and other mental health issues afflict many people and the Church’s mission of salvation and healing extends powerfully into these areas of woundedness. A few of our staff will be attending parts of the conference to learn more about how we can help. If you are interested, here is more information: https://stambrose.us/mental-health-conference/
That being said, for your reference, Sacred Heart Counseling is an amazing, faithful and helpful resource in our area for those who struggle. Their offices are based out of St. Charles, so it’s right around the corner. For more info visit: https://www.sacredheartcleveland.com/
Please keep all of our kids who are receiving Sacraments this year in your prayers! The 2nd Graders received First Reconciliation on Feb 13th and will receive their First Communion on May 10th, and our 8th graders will receive Confirmation on April 7th with Bishop Amos, who also Confirmed me! Please pray for them and their families that they may come to know powerfully the presence, power, mercy, and love of God in their daily lives! The Church is built up POWERFULLY through prayer and intercession, especially through the saints who are helping us to know God and be with Him for all eternity!
