Reconciliation
Sin is before all else an offense against God, a rupture of communion with him. At the same time it damages communion with the Church. For this reason conversion entails both God’s forgiveness and reconciliation with the Church, which are expressed and accomplished liturgically by the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation.
Catechism of the Catholic Church N0. 1440
Confessions at Holy Family are heard every Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m.
Confessions are heard periodically in public Penance Services, and anytime by appointment.
It can be quite normal to feel anxious or nervous about receiving this Sacrament. Please know that our priests are here to offer you a kind and encouraging hand. There is nothing of which to be fearful. In fact, many people leave the confessional feeling like a huge weight has been lifted off of their shoulders. God’s grace is abundant!
