Coming up for our Parish Mission in a few weeks we are going to have a Potluck Dinner at 5pm. Please bring a side dish or desert and we will provide a main dish (Pasta and meatballs). If you come a few minutes early, we can get the serving line started so that I can offer a prayer at 5pm and then finish up so that we can be in the main church for the talk at 6pm.We will be livestreaming and recording the mission so that anyone unable to attend that evening will be able to hear the talk. We plan to have showings of talk afterward, in the chapel meeting space, so that those who are unable to access the talk via computer can come to listen and have some conversation.
Please keep our 8th graders in your prayers as they will be on their retreat day next Saturday over at St. Bartholomew, whom we have partnered with in the past few years.
Happy St. Patrick’s day on Tuesday! While the day is usually marked by leprechauns, clovers, corned beef, and green beer, I would encourage us to look up and pray the Breastplate of St. Patrick prayer. As he evangelized Ireland, St. Patrick was very aware and intent on the spiritual battle that underlies the Church’s activity and mission. Certainly, enjoy the corned beef and green beer and also consider offering that prayer for our parish.
