On Tuesday, October 1st at 7pm in the Chapel, I will be hosting a “Night in Italy”! I will be sharing pictures, stories, and graces from the recent pilgrimage. The trip was such a graced time and I cannot NOT share it with all of you. To enjoy most fully such an evening, if you would like to bring an Italian (or non-Italian) appetizer or some wine to enjoy and/or share, please feel free!
Please sign up and share about our Community Day of Service coming up on Sept. 28th! This day is a really important witness and opportunity for our community to live as the Body of Christ in the world, a world in such great need. Thank you to Sally Herman and Linda Kepich and all those who helped to make the day possible!
Monday, September 23rd is Padre Pio’s Feast Day! He is especially close to those who suffer as he suffered greatly in his own life. Yet, he suffered not alone, but always with Christ. Here are some powerful quotes from Pio:
“Pray, hope and don’t worry. Worry is useless. Our Merciful Lord will listen to your prayer.”
“In the spiritual life he who does not advance goes backward. It happens as with a boat which always must go ahead. If it stands still the wind will blow it back.”
“My past, O Lord, to your Mercy; my present, to your Love; my future, to your Providence!”
