We welcome Cleveland Seminarian John Paul Antalek to our parish this weekend on this Priesthood Sunday! Our Diocese is very very blessed to have both a college seminary program and a Major Seminary. I am certainly the priest I am today because of our seminaries and the great faculty who staff them. Please pray for John Paul (From St Mary’s in Akron) and his brothers as they continue to listen for and discern God’s call and pray for young men in our community to courageously follow the Lord.
Dale Schafer, a parishioner in the Diaconate Formation Program, will be having a “practice Mass” coming up on Monday Nov. 18th at 7pm. While this is NOT an actual Mass, it will be a prayerful experience as he prepares for his Ordination to the Diaconate, God willing, on Saturday, May 3rd. Please keep Dale in your prayers as he finishes his formation and please consider coming to prayerfully support him.
As I did not give the financial report this weekend because of our visiting seminarian, the report will be given next weekend at all Masses.
Friday is the Solemnity of All Saints and is not just a Holy Day of Obligation, but a Holy Day of Opportunity! We have such a great blessing in all the great saints who have gone before us and we have the great opportunity to grow closer to Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and all the saints, by raising our minds and hearts in worship to God that day!
Remember: Every Saint has a past and every sinner has a future.
