I am pleased to share that we finally have been able to meet with two different sound engineers to assess some of the hearing difficulties in our church space. They have given us some great recommendations and we will be working diligently to bring the project to a conclusion. Thank you again for your patience over these past months.
The Fest is an awesome Catholic family event that is happening out at our Diocesan seminary (Wickliffe) this weekend (Sunday) starting at 12:00 pm. I will go over to hear confessions for a few hours in the afternoon. It is always a powerful time of praying with people, some of whom have been away from the Sacrament of Reconciliation for some time. If you have some time, the Fest is a great event in our Diocese that you won’t want to miss!
Tuesday is the Feast of the Transfiguration where Jesus was transfigured before Peter, James, and John. Here is a thought from the venerable St. Bede (673-735), “By His loving foresight, He allowed them to taste for a short time, the contemplation of eternal joy, so that they might bear persecution bravely.” Despite whatever this week will bring, may we invite Jesus to share with us a new awareness of his presence in our lives and of his love for us and expect Him to answer.
